2008–09 Annual and Sustainability Report now online

January 2010

Read all about us! The newly released Manidis Roberts Annual and Sustainability Report for 2008–2009 is aptly titled Making All The Difference, because that is precisely what we have been doing.

‘Four years ago we set about building a capability to influence large and critical projects on the east coast of Australia,’ says Managing Director, Peter Devine.

‘In this past year we have taken a step change towards realising that vision by our involvement in some of Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra’s most high-profile and complex nation-building projects.

‘We are excited to be involved in these major infrastructure projects. And we are proud to be in the business of helping to shape sustainable urban environments that better meet the needs and expectations of present and future Australians.’

Our annual report shows we have been making a difference in other ways as well.

In 2008–2009 we achieved a 41 per cent increase in revenue, making it the most financially successful year in the company’s 21-year history.

And our clients also credited us with making a difference. Independent client research confirmed our reputation for delivering outstanding results on projects, with the essence of the Manidis Roberts brand being seen as the skills, experience and knowledge of our people.

And speaking of our people – we achieved ‘best employer’ status in the independent Hewitt Employee Engagement Survey. Across the business we scored a staff engagement score of 82 per cent.

In developing our annual and sustainability report, this is the second year that we have adopted the widely accepted global reporting initiative (GRI) framework. This provides a standardised international benchmark to guide us in measuring and reporting our company’s economic, environmental and social performance.
