Come Spring, all eyes will be on our Brisbane-based communications consultant Daniel Pollard as he flies the flag for Australia at the Triathlon World Championships.

Daniel has been selected for the national squad after impressive performances at triathlon events in Canberra and Brisbane earlier in the year. He will compete at the world championships in the 30–34 age group sprint event – this involves a 750m swim, 20km cycle and a 5km run.

“I’m very excited to be competing,” said Daniel. “This is the top event in the world of triathlon – the pinnacle of the sport.”

The championships, involving 6,000 athletes from 42 countries, will be held on the Gold Coast from 9–13 September. Daniel’s event is scheduled for Saturday the 12th.
