Dressed to impress: Manidis Roberts riders gear up for the 2008 event on 2 November.

MS Society gong for our charitable cyclists

March 2009

Manidis Roberts bike riders have been up the front of the pack in helping to smash fundraising records for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Australia.

Nine staff members pedalled from Sydney to Wollongong in the ‘2008 MS Gong Ride’ to raise a whopping $9,667, including a matching donation from Manidis Roberts of $5,800.

Andrew Grainger, one of our senior consultants, was the No.1 fundraiser on the day and was awarded a bike computer as a thank you from the MS Society. Our other enthusiastic riders were Blair Edwards, Nick Johnson, Peter Devine, Peter Randall, Rikki Pointon, Rob Salisbury, Stacee Kingston and Stephanie Spencer.

2008 was the third consecutive year we have fielded a team in the event, with interest reaching a new high thanks in part to enthusiastic promotion by Rebecca Gorman and following on from the introduction of our flashy new Manidis Roberts brand-yellow cycle tops.

In recognition of our significant fundraising efforts, the MS Society this month presented the company with a trophy of appreciation.
