SewerFix Alliance (SWWA) extended for another three years plus

October 2010

The SewerFix Wet Weather Alliance (SWWA) is an alliance of five organisations comprising Sydney Water, Manidis Roberts, MWH, Parsons Brinckerhoff and UGL with the commitment to delivering clean waterways through planning and delivering infrastructure improvement works.

The alliance was established in 2007 and has since then delivered a number of key projects including the Eaton Street (Neutral Bay) pumping station and associated connections, separation of sewer and stormwater systems in the Chippendale/Broadway area, rehabilitation of the Northern Suburbs Ocean Outfall Sewer (NSOOS) at Manly, Gore Creek/Burns Bay and Cammeray and amplification of local sewers in the northern beaches. A number of these projects are still under construction.

As testimony of Sydney Water’s confidence in the alliance and the strong performance of the team, it has chosen to extend the term of the alliance by at least another three years but includes any additional time required to achieve completion of any committed works.

The formal signing of the extension to the alliance agreement was held recently in the office of Sydney Water. In attendance was the managing director of Sydney Water Kerry Schott and representatives from Sydney Water and all the alliance partners. Holding the pen from Manidis Roberts were Peter Devine and Mark Hather.
