Outline
Rachel has 14 years experience of delivering communication programs for state and local government, not-for-profit organisations and in an agency environment. She is a highly accomplished communications and consultation professional, with significant experience in delivering these activities for major program alliances and property-based urban renewal projects.
Rachel was the stakeholder communications manager for Sydney Water’s SewerFix Wet Weather Alliance. As a member of the alliance management team, Rachel provided strategic direction on stakeholder consultation and community relations across this $240 million sewerage infrastructure program. She has also led consultation activities to support the environmental assessment process for the Northern Beaches Storage Project – the largest project in the alliance program.
Previously Rachel worked for Sydney Water’s Priority Sewerage Program Alliance delivering all aspects of site-based communications for the Brooklyn and Dangar Island Sewerage Scheme. This included undertaking customer home plans, preparing community updates, managing the free community information line and other stakeholder issues.
Rachel also brings extensive communications experience in the property sector, having worked for the London Borough of Southwark in the United Kingdom where she was communications manager for the regeneration department. Playing an active role in the council’s senior communications team, Rachel delivered stakeholder communications and marketing strategies for in urban renewal projects amounting to more than £3 billion.
