Rodney has over 10 years’ experience in capital works strategic planning, project management, environmental assessment, community consultation and stakeholder relations, much of it in the transport sector.

This culminated in his leading a team within government which was responsible for developing and assessing transport infrastructure proposals, reviewing and coordinating projects across agencies in the transport portfolio, and providing input to the capital budgets of transport portfolio agencies.

Rodney has worked on numerous rail and road projects, from initial scoping through to implementation. He has prepared, reviewed and assessed a whole range of environmental assessment documentation, produced overview reports, undertaken community consultation, and secured the necessary funds for rail corridor protection.

Rodney’s previous experience includes the following:

• Sydney Metropolitan Rail Expansion Program (Ministry of Transport) – project leader.
• CBD Rail Link (TIDC) – project manager.
• Rail Corridor Protection for Sydney CBD (Department of Planning) – project leader.
