The Sydney Harbour Bridge is a cultural and historical icon and one of Australia’s most treasured and valued public assets. As the gateway between the city of Sydney and northern Sydney it is also a crucial part of Sydney’s transport infrastructure, used by pedestrians, cyclists, rail commuters, bus commuters, and motorists.
The bridge is regularly undergoing improvement, maintenance and further
strengthening to ensure its longevity. A major program of work starts in early 2008 and will run for approximately
two years.
Key achievements include
- Working live – developing work programs around a fully operational bridge.
- Communicating with the many direct and indirect stakeholders of the bridge.
- Explaining complex engineering designs in plain English.
- Quickly integrating the four separate organisations’ brands into a single set of branded alliance documentation.
