CGE Australia (now Veolia) was engaged to build, own, operate and transfer a sewerage system and advance sewage treatment plant to service Gerringong and Gerroa on the south coast of NSW.
The Gerringong and Gerroa area is the southern-most serviced area of Sydney Water. It has specific complex issues such as high rainfall, transient summer population and sensitive receiving waters. The sewerage system developed not only caters for this environment but has the additional benefit of including a major water re-use scheme.
