The New South Wales Department of Planning has recently embarked on a planning reform program that resulted in new legislative provisions in mid-2008. The planning reforms are in five key areas – plan making, exempt and complying development, development assessment, ePlanning and strata management reform.
Manidis Roberts was engaged to project manage a program of activities including the development and community consultation of the department’s discussion paper, analysis of responses and recommendations for change.
Key achievements included
- Engaging and negotiating with key internal Department of Planning staff and private sector stakeholders.
- Designing and producing all documentation (web and print-based).
- Community consultation including public exhibition of the discussion paper and collecting and processing of all submissions into a submissions report.
