AGL expanded their NSW network by constructing a main line from Dubbo to Tamworth and constructing off-shoot lines from this and other mains to many regional centres in NSW. Some of the centres included Gulgong, Gosford, Coonabarabran, Gilgandra and Temora. Redundancy was also built into the network by connecting Canberra to the Eastern Gas Pipeline. The pipelines covered diverse geography and land ownership including farm land, road reserves, mountain ranges, natural areas, major rivers and urban areas.
Manidis Roberts advised AGL over the three-year life of the program on the development of the pipelines including route selection, options assessment, environmental assessment and gaining approvals.
